Project Manager Construction jobs in Qatar

The project is a $2 billion mix use project, residential & commercial.

Candidates should have build experience. The contract is for a 3 year duration.

The Assistant PM role is very similar to the PM role without any supervisory responsibilities. Below is the PM job description.

They are looking for western passport holders/candidates educated in western countries.

The Project Manager reports to the Project Director and is responsible for managing an assigned project programme. He/she represents the Project Director in:

• all discussions regarding time, cost and quality issues in discussions with the Contractor of the project;
• progress meetings throughout the duration of the project; and,
• communications regarding all project management matters with parties, including the Client, Contractor and other team members, associated with the project.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage project by:

• Organising, supervising and leading project staff and managing the Project Office.

• Managing the assigned program of works to ensure the Contractors schedule updates, resource updates, progress reports, etc. are reviewed and evaluated.

• The construction documentation against the construction schedule is maintained.

• Managing the progress of the Consultant, with regards to the production of Design Stage Documents as defined by the design milestones, are maintained.

• Maintaining the Consultant’s Design Milestone Submittals against the Consultant’s submitted invoices.

• Managing the Master Schedule and project scope by analysing programme plans and budgets to ensure project remains within timelines and budget expectations, while minimising risk.

• Identifying a scope change has occurred, or is about to occur.

• Refining scope throughout the project life cycle.

• Controlling scope creep, such as incremental increases to scope to accommodate wishes rather than needs.

• Managing the effect of scope changes on other project packages and to achieve the overall project objectives.

• Resolving problems and challenging arising through phases of the project.

• Assisting others to solve problems arising within their assigned package of works.

Manage project communication by:

• Chairing construction and progress review meetings with Contractors.
• Participating at all meetings with the Clients.
• Managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence, transmittals and submittals to ensure they are properly logged, filed and responded to as required.
• Assisting with the preparation of Monthly Progress Report and other reports as required.

Apply technical skills by:

• Using word processing software packages, spreadsheets and databases to report for programme activities, finances and data collection results.
• Using specific project and programme management software tools.
